You look fine, really.
Makeup is a total pain in the ass. It blocks your pores. It's expensive. You can get pink eye. It takes a chunk of time out of your day putting it on and taking it off.
Why bother with all that nonsense?
You look fine and will stay looking fine a lot longer without it.
Leave it off or wear less and go enjoy yourself!
When I was in high school, I got a card from a friend that said, 'Smile -- it improves your face value!'.
I like wearing a smile rather than a lot of makeup. I think many women would look a lot better if they left most of it off.
Besides a smile, I admit that I like to wear just a little makeup, now that I've got a few more years on my face...just to emphasize my eyes. It makes me feel more confident, just like a good hairstyle puts a bounce in my step.
But that's it! I'm not interested in covering anything up. I earned those wrinkles!

I stopped wearing makeup about five years ago, after I found out my boyfriend couldn't tell the difference between when I was wearing makeup and when I wasn't.

I'd rather spend my time taking good care of my skin in the first place.

Excellent advice for all. I wore make up through age 20 and haven't touched it regularly since. I'm into sunscreen by way of moisturizers and that's it.

Heh. I'm erratic about actually using it, but I actually find that the light sunscreen/foundation I like seems to make my skin *better*. This seems counterintuitive even if it's not supposed to be pore-clogging -- my working theory is that it makes me subconsciously less likely to touch my face during the course of the day.
Never have gotten the hang of eye makeup, though.
