Closer to a homelike home 2003
Step 1: internet connection finally works.
Step 2: computer can be located somewhere other than the kitchen counter.

I hope it's a cable modem. Just got one at work (caregiving) and it's the only thing possible. Had it at home for two years and you can't go back.
At dinner jane talked about riding in a car and hearing Gershwin for the first time on a car radio. (That is, both Gershwin and the car radio... She's 89 and remembers when cars didn't have them). I related that to the freedom I felt when I first got a cell phone. Wow, I'm walking down the street and I'm talking on a PHONE. Mark

Sort of like the old Apple computer ad:
Step 1: Plug in the computer.
Step 2: Connect to the internet.
Step 3:
(laugher...)
There is no step 3.
