[no Cardamom.com now] 1997

[As of the Internet Archive's snapshot on this date, Cardamom.com no longer had any of our content on it, but just appears to be the standard placeholder promo for our hosting service. This may have been while the sale of the domain to Cardex (for $900 and a giant bag of green cardamom) was in progress. I still have some of that cardamom now in 2015; freezers are amazing things.

At some point, as I recall a bit after the sale had gone through, we realized that Cardex hadn't bought Cardamom.net, so we got that. At some point prior to December 1998 (by which time my ex and I had parted ways) we set it up to redirect to MetaGrrrl.com.]

Blog (noun) A weblog or similar brief journal usually containing links and commentary thereon. Term coined by Peter Merholz.

Visit Typepad or Blogger to start your own. (I began with hand coding, then switched to Blogger when it first became available, then to Movable Type when I wanted more control over my weblog and to have it hosted at a place of my choosing (Hurricane Electric). Since 06/2003 I've used Typepad, a hosted service built by the same folks who made Movable Type, which I love because I don't have to maintain the underlying system).
