Also had yummy croque monsieur and french onion soup. Mmmm, thank you, Absinthe.
Milk Punch 2007
Boubon, half & half, a bit of dark rum, simple syrup & nutmeg, shake with ice, strain and serve with early Louis Armstrong.
Sometimes you need to eat a dinner that even your great-great-great-great-grandmother would understand. 2007

How early am I up today? Check out the sky to the east... 2007
["Dinah coming in to work early" on Joe's Google Calendar. This was probably for a phone meeting with folks in other timezones.]
At office, sun not yet up. Ah, fall...

Yummy cheese at Gordonzola's b-day party 2007
The stuff in the foreground was quince jam which went great with another nearby cheese.
Probably the best cheese board I've experienced. Seemed like 15-20 kinds of fantastic cheese, plus a great DJ spinning, Gordon & his fabulous friends, and punk karaoke going on in a nearby room.

Green Apple really does have it all 2007
Some of the finer items on the shelves at Green Apple which caught my eye as I was trading & spending past trade credit today. I did not, I regret to report, purchase Enslaved By Ducks, but that just means it's probably still waiting there for you...
Detox/Recharge project 2007
step 1: reduce visual clutter
Gotta get the bedroom nice so I wake up to a non-stressful environment.
clutter reduction continued
Someday we'll get a coat rack instead of piling our hoodies on the library stair/chair, but it works for now.
step 2: stage things for next activities
step 3: optimize for relaxed housemate
windowseat primed with New York Times, Wired & New Yorker for Joe to recline with when he gets back from day 2 (of 3) of his class for work
step 4: get clean
I even shaved my legs, a hassle I confess to frequently putting off...
step 5: good dinner & scratch some things off the general shopping list
Step 6 not photographed: Sleep as long as I want, which turned out to be over 10 hours.

He's blurry and the drink isn't. Not sure quite how I manage to achieve some of these strange effects with this silly little phonecam...

9 Years 2007
When I was 9 years old I went on a big trip with my folks to Scotland & Norway and still feel the echoes of that wonderful trip today.
What will MetaGrrrl.com do now that it's nine years old? Exploration, new friends, new horizons, new foods, new ideas... that's what I'm hoping for.
Thanks for reading and commenting and being part of my adventure!
